KEITH TURNER

DIRECTOR, PROJECT MANAGER AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Keith has had extensive experience in the construction industry across a wide variety of construction-related fields (Project Management, Principal Consultant, Building Design, Engineering, Construction and Building Certification). His experience provides a broad perspective on the challenges that face all forms of commercial, industrial and residential development and the skills to provide innovative solutions to meet all briefs and budgets.

Keith has completed an Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering, an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology, and a Bachelor of Building Surveying. Keith holds an Open Building Design License, a Low Rise Builders License and a Project Management License under the QBCC. Keith is also an Endorsed Sustainable Building Designer. Currently, Keith is the President/delegate for the CQ Branch of the Building Designers Association and on the committee of Management for the CQ Branch of the Master Builders. He is also a member of the Fire Protection Authority.

With over 30 years of experience in the building industry, Keith is highly qualified in many areas. He has had the opportunity to work on an array of projects within the public and private sectors. Most recently, he has had the opportunity to work on various projects with QBuild, the Department of Education and Training (DOE), and other Government Departments and Local Authorities. His success can be attributed to his ability to manage and foster key stakeholder relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Some of the most recent projects he has been involved in include the New Police Station in Biloela, Moura Museum and Library, Fountain Street and Emu Park Community Housing projects, Awooga Fish hatchery, Access Recreation Professional Offices and many more.

GLENN THOMASSON

DIRECTOR, PROJECT MANAGER AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Glenn is a Director and co-founder of Designtek and is registered as an open-class building designer with the Queensland Building & Construction Commission. With 20+ years of experience in building design, project management & construction management, Glenn is well-positioned to provide design & management consultancy for complex projects.

Academically, Glenn has completed a Bachelor of Building Design at Central Queensland University (CQU). Following the completion of tertiary study, Glenn has taken part in an industry review of built environment courses offered by CQU. Glenn continues to maintain a strong relationship with CQU, providing casual lecturing in key study areas of complex building design, contract documentation and commercial building legislation.

Professionally, Glenn has developed considerable experience in education projects across Queensland whilst employed under Tony Madden Architects. Such commissions included new school master planning, entire school refurbishment & redevelopment, new learning spaces, multipurpose centres and performing arts centres. Highlights include RAIA awards for facilities at St Brendan’s College, Yeppoon (2003) and Shalom College, Bundaberg (2003).     Experience in education projects provides for the construction of new lecture facilities at CQU Bundaberg, the Refurbishment of research facilities at CQU Rockhampton & non-traditional project delivery at Taranganba State School & Biloela State High School.

Glenn has extensive experience in the delivery of projects by traditional and non-traditional methods. This experience has provided an opportunity to develop meaningful working relationships with numerous building contractors and sub-contractors throughout the Central Queensland region. With a can-do attitude and a good work ethic, Glenn applies himself 100% to every project he undertakes to achieve the best results possible for every client.

KURT WOOLDRIDGE

SENIOR BUILDING DESIGNER AND PROJECT MANAGER

Kurt started out working for a developer in New Zealand, gaining valuable experience in architectural documentation and project management. Kurt has worked with Designtek since 2011 and has since obtained his Open Class QBCC Building Designers Licence.

Kurt has developed a considerably broad range of experience in all facets of building design and project management, and is competent in institutional, commercial, industrial and residential developments. Kurt is a highly skilled BIM modelling / CAD manager, particularly specialising in Revit Architecture.

Kurt has grown through his professional experience to develop exceptional communication, on both a technical and graphical level, delivering distinctive, aesthetic designs with clear and precise detailing. Kurt’s quality documentation saves money.

As a key team member of Designtek, Kurt works alongside the Directors to deliver projects of all kinds that not only meet the client’s brief but also exceed their expectations.

ROSS EDWARDS

SENIOR BUILDING DESIGNER AND PROJECT MANAGER

With a Bachelor’s in Building Design, Ross possesses a strong educational foundation that fuels his eagerness to dive into captivating design projects and tackle any challenge that comes his way. He is always ready to explore innovative design solutions, bringing a fresh perspective and creative approach to every assignment.

Ross’s easy-going personality makes him approachable and a joy to work with, fostering a positive and collaborative environment within his team. However, this laid-back demeanour masks a passionate and dedicated designer who is committed to excellence in all his endeavours. His drive and enthusiasm are evident in his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering focus on delivering high-quality results.

Throughout his career, Ross has consistently achieved high standards, applying his dedication and expertise to every project he undertakes. His work ethic and commitment to excellence have earned him a reputation for reliability and exceptional performance. As a valuable member of the Designtek team, Ross’s contributions go beyond design; he brings strategic insights, innovative solutions, and a collaborative spirit that significantly enhance the team’s overall success. ERROL MEYER

SENIOR BUILDING DESIGNER AND PROJECT MANAGER

Errol brings over 30 years of extensive experience in design and project management to the Designtek team. Holding an advanced diploma in Architecture, he combines deep technical expertise with a practical understanding of all building types and classifications. Since immigrating to Australia from South Africa in 2008, Errol has become a respected leader in his field, contributing to numerous major projects across the region.

His positive, can-do attitude and methodical approach to documentation ensure efficient, thorough project delivery. Errol’s wealth of knowledge, paired with his commitment to quality and collaboration, makes him a highly valued member of Designtek, consistently driving successful outcomes for complex and diverse projects.

SHO NISHIHATA

BUILDING DESIGNER, ARTIST IMPRESSIONS/CONCEPTS DESIGNS

All the way from Tokyo, Japan, Sho brings a unique blend of creativity and technical experience to the Designtek team. Sho holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture and Building Engineering from Kanto Gakuin University in Yokohama, Japan. His flair for technology and visuals shines through his stunning artist impressions, 3D fly-throughs, and animations, which have been a massive hit with clients and stakeholders alike.

Sho is also highly skilled in Building Information Modelling (BIM), with the ability to model even the most complex buildings and identify potential construction issues well before they become costly onsite. Since joining Designtek in 2018, Sho has firmly cemented himself as part of the Designtek family. His collaborative nature, eye for detail, and commitment to quality design have made him an invaluable part of our team.

RELLY PINGOL

BUILDING DESIGNER

Relly has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture with demonstrated experience in Architecture, Landscape Architecture & Engineering disciplines through a wide range of projects both in Australia and abroad.  Relly’s international experience has seen him deliver projects in the Philippines,  Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, China, Taiwan, India, Africa, and the UAE.

This project experience has included the development of projects from conceptual design through to contract documentation on residential developments, condominium housing, streetscapes, landscape parks, resort development, retail and commercial spaces, and large-scale industrial parks.

Relly joined the team at Designtek in June 2021, predominantly working on State Education projects. With his vast and varied international experience, Relly has quickly developed a good understanding of Design Standards and codes that apply to State Education projects. With a strong work ethic, positive attitude and broad professional experience, Relly is a valuable member of the Designtek team.

JAIDAH SHUKER

UNDERGRADUATE BUILDING DESIGNER

Jaidah is a dynamic and talented undergraduate building designer, bringing a fresh perspective to our team, with a strong passion for building design and a keen eye for detail.

Jaidah has consistently demonstrated a commitment to creating innovative and functional design. Her dedication, coupled with her adaptability and willingness to embrace new challenges, makes her a valuable asset to our company. She is an integral part of our team, who actively contributes to the realisation of our company’s overarching vision.

Jaidah’s adaptability is a testament to her resilience in the face of challenges. Rather than viewing obstacles as roadblocks, she sees them as opportunities for growth—her willingness to embrace new challenges and learn from them, to enhance her skill set.

GARTH CRAWFORD

SENIOR BUILDING DESIGNER

Garth is an experienced project leader with 30 years in the architectural profession. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in a diverse range of architectural disciplines spanning from education, commercial, retail and aged care.

With Garth’s experience, he is equipped with the understanding and appreciation of the whole design process, working on projects from the concept phase through to documentation and construction. He has a deep knowledge of construction, detailing and architectural documentation. Garth brings practical experience and an enthusiastic attitude, which creates success for the team and the projects.

Garth has been involved with many landmark projects, including the redevelopment of Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Southport, Gold Coast, the redevelopment of a landmark office building in Box Hill, Victoria and Australia’s first CLT Healthcare Building at Lyndoch Living in Warrnambool, Victoria.

ANGELINA GANDY

ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING AND DETAILING

Since joining Designtek in 2019, Angelina has become a highly reliable and driven architectural draftsperson. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Interior Architecture from Curtin University and specialised training in architectural materials and detailing, she combines expertise with practical experience.

Her experience working alongside Tapsell Consulting Engineers has further sharpened her ability to navigate design requirements and deliver clear, buildable documentation that supports smooth project progression.

What truly sets Angelina apart is her dedication to quality and continuous learning. She approaches each task with genuine curiosity and a disciplined work ethic, consistently striving to meet project goals and client expectations. Her collaborative nature and steady professionalism make her an integral and highly valued member of the Designtek team, contributing significantly to the successful delivery of our projects.

LETITIA GILBERT

PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR / ACCOUNTS

Letitia is Designtek’s Administration officer and is the first friendly face or voice you will encounter as you enter or call the Designtek office. Letitia’s strength lies in delivering excellent communication in a friendly yet prompt and efficient manner. You can be assured that your every enquiry is handled with enthusiasm, professionalism and a can-do attitude.

Having a strong work ethic combined with a professional and caring approach, Letitia can assist the Technical team with organisational prowess throughout the design and documentation process, and a strong eye for visual presentation, allowing precise and efficient communication to all stakeholders.
